Wasit Nature Reserve

This reserve may be less than one square kilometre in size but it is rich in biodiversity and features various habitats including coastal sand dunes, sabkhas and an open lake. Along with mammals and reptiles, the reserve is frequented by almost 200 bird species. These include resident and migratory birds such as flamingos, pelicans and Marbled Ducks. You will be able to get a close look at these birds inside the Wasit Wetland Centre, where you can learn more about them through fun and engaging activities.

 

 

Opening hours:

Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM; Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

 

Entrance fee: AED 15.
