Ready to turn your passion for the planet into real-world, future-ready skills? This World Youth Skills Day, Connect with Nature is hosting an interactive Caught on Camera session - putting you in the shoes of a wildlife researcher and giving you access to real, never-before-seen footage from the Hajar Mountains. Motion-sensing camera traps don't catch animals - they catch moments. Stealthy nocturnal wanderers, rare mountain species, and the hidden lives of UAE wildlife, all captured on film. In this session, you'll review actual footage collected from these cameras, help identify species, and contribute to real wildlife research as a citizen scientist. In a rapidly changing world driven by the green transition and technological shifts, sustainability isn't just a passion - it's a crucial skill set. Aligning with this year's global theme, "Skills for a Shared Future," this session will show you how to blend technical, digital, and analytical competencies to build a resilient future for yourself and your community. What will participants learn? Discover how citizen science supports wildlife research and conservation Learn about the wildlife that lives in UAE's mountain habitats and the challenges they face Explore the technology behind motion-sensing camera traps and how they capture non-invasive wildlife images Develop the skills to analyze camera trap footage and contribute to real conservation data
